24 charged over food safety

Shanghai People’s Prosecutors’ Office reported yesterday that 24 people were charged recently in connection with 10 food security cases. Items in the cases were worth 1.88 million yuan (US$307.808).

These included mooncakes with out-of-date ingredients, crayfish in toxic soup and roast fish cooked in waste oil.
