3 killed in workplace accident

THREE workers were killed and one was injured when a lift fell from the 7th floor at a construction site in Hongkou District at 4:30pm yesterday, Shanghai Television Station reported.
The four workers were standing in the lift, which was attached to the side of the east tower of Xinggang International Center at 1075 Daming Road E. Three of them died at the scene and the fourth is in stable condition with serious fractures. It is not clear what caused the accident, which is still under investigation.
