3 tried for selling exam papers
Three suspects, who shared pictures of a post-graduate entrance exam paper with others on QQ, have been charged with divulging state secrets, the Minhang District People’s Procuratorate said yesterday.
A 25-year-old graduate, surnamed Wang, took pictures of politics and English exam papers with his iPhone while appearing for the entrance exam in Hubei Province on January 5. He passed on the pictures to his girlfriend Gu over QQ, a popular instant messaging software in China.
Gu forwarded the pictures to Wang’s friend Li and to Zhang, known to sell leaked exam papers to students.
Li, on his part, passed on the pictures with the answers to other students for profit.
He was caught the same afternoon at a cyber cafe in Minhang District where he was selling them online, while Wang and Gu were netted in Wuhan City in Hubei Province five days later.
