Woman questioned after her son, 3, was found dead

A WOMAN in Datuan Town in the Pudong New Area is being questioned by police after her 3-year-old son was found dead.
Police said the 32-year-old, surnamed Zhao, had admitted tieing up the boy and beating him on Monday evening because “he was being mischievous.”
They said they received a call on Tuesday saying that a child had been beaten to death by his mother at an address on Yongchun Road E., but declined to say who it was from.
The boy was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police said relatives told them the mother had mental health problems. They said their investigation was continuing.
