6 charged with fraud

SIX people have been charged with fraud for allegedly running a telephone scam that cheated people out of more than 96,000 yuan (US$14,700). The gang is believed to have operated from the city of Meishan, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, but were charged in Shanghai’s Baoshan District, where most of their victims were based.
