6 held over fake formula

SIX people have been arrested on suspicion of selling low-quality milk powder disguised as high-end baby formula, prosecutors said yesterday. In September last year, police raided a property in Shanghai where they found several people transferring low-cost dried milk from its original containers into cans labeled as international brands. The gang is alleged to have made almost 2 million yuan, (US$308,000) from the sale of 17,000 cans of the fake formula.
