6 officials warned for breach of party code
SIX officials from state-owned companies and institutions were issued warnings for using official funds to go on tours, Shanghai’s Party disciplinary watchdog said yesterday.
Director Zhang Yanping of the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences Group approved the travel plans of 35 subordinates with state funds.
Sun Yuliang, director, and Zhang Run, Party chief of the social science education department of Shanghai Finance University were also found guilty of the same violation.
Two others were found misusing office funds to go on tours. They are Zhu Lili, deputy Party chief of Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic, and Wu Yi, former legal representative and executive of Jing’an Automobile Service Co Ltd.
Wu Chao, chief of worker’s union at Shanghai Road and Bridge Group, asked the company’s subsidiary to foot his bills during a trip to Yunnan Province.
The watchdog said they violated the “eight-point rules,” which were introduced in 2012 by the CPC to cut bureaucracy, extravagance and undesirable work habits.
