8 held for workmate鈥檚 murder

POLICE have detained eight people for killing a workmate in the city.
The victim, surnamed Zhao, had a quarrel with one of his colleagues, also surnamed Zhao, over trivial matters on March 7. The two worked in an electronics factory.
The suspect, who felt humiliated after the quarrel, dragged seven colleagues to “get his revenge.” According to police, the eight of them went to the victim’s rented house in Xinmiao Village in Pudong’s Kangqiao Town the next evening. They beat him up with a wooden stick and stabbed him in the chest with a knife.
Police set up road blocks around the area and caught the two suspects half an hour later on the crossroad of Xiupu Road and Shenjiang Road.
They revealed the whereabouts of other suspects to the police.
All eight suspects were found and have been detained. Police are still investigating the incident.
