THE Zhabei District People's Court sentenced Ming Wei, 20, to eight years for kidnapping and robbery over the weekend.
On December 4, Ming burst into a convenience store brandishing a knife and snatched 900 yuan (US$132) cash and some food. He then broke into an apartment and kidnapped two women.
