A novel idea

FAMOUS Taiwanese novelist Chiung Yao said she was collaborating with Shanghai education authorities and setting up a fund to promote original script-writing and Cross-Strait communications among students. Chiung won a 5-million-yuan compensation following a plagiarism lawsuit she filed against scriptwriter Yu Zheng and four film production companies that had produced a TV series that was similar to her work. “The Palace: The Lost Daughter,” was aired on Hunan Satellite TV. She said she had not authorised any production.
