COMPLAINTS about holiday accommodation and express delivery services rose significantly last month, the Shanghai Consumer Rights Protection Commission said yesterday.
The agency said the number of complaints about accommodation rose 40 percent from July to 266, with about half relating to holidays booked online.
People complained mostly about false information about facilities and hotels canceling without giving notice.
Consumers also complained about not being able to get refunds when products are damaged while being delivered.
The number of such complaints received last month rose 7 percent year on year to 10,098.
