Alleged murderer held

A 51-YEAR-OLD man suspected of murdering his elder sister and her husband yesterday in Pudong’s Gaoqiao Town has been caught, police said.
The victims, a 57-year-old woman surnamed Huang and a man of same age, surnamed Yang, were declared dead when police reached the scene after receiving a call from the woman’s son-in-law at about 7am.
The suspect appeared on a local TV show three months ago, claiming his elder sister owed him around 2 to 3 million yuan.
Huang helped him with bookkeeping when he was running a business from 1998 to 2006, but he suspected she was also putting away a lot of money.
On the show, the sister denied the allegation and said the suspect had sent a note to her threatening to kill her, which he admitted.
Police said they were still investigating the case.
