A MAN has been arrested after two girls were sexually assaulted in a swimming pool in Baoshan District.

According to prosecutors, the man, surnamed Lu, said he assaulted the girls because he was unhappy with his married life.

He allegedly got the idea of touching females in swimming pools from TV reports of subway sexual assaults.

Lu assaulted the two girls in a swimming pool in Baoshan on July 17, prosecutors said.

According to the investigation, he had also molested two other underage girls days beforehand.

Lu claimed he couldn’t tell what age the girls were as he is short-sighted and wasn’t wearing his glasses.

His arrest was approved by Baoshan District prosecutors on Thursday.

If found guilty of sexual assault on minors, he faces at least five years in prison.
