LEAVES that fall from trees along Huaxi and Tongbai Roads in Putuo District from Monday through December 7 will be left undisturbed so as to create a “beautiful autumn landscape,” local authorities said yesterday. The two roads are lined with plane trees and are very tranquil, they said, adding that a photography contest will also be held to encourage people to capture their favorite images of the autumn scene. A similar practice of leaving fall leaves untouched is already in place along Wukang Road, Fuxing Road W., Yuqing Road and Hunan Road in Xuhui District.
