Baby found in dustbin

A NEWBORN baby boy has been found in a dustbin in Songjiang district, Shanghai police said yesterday.
The child, who was discovered on Tuesday morning, was reported to be in good health and is being cared for at Songjiang District Central Hospital. He was spotted inside a bag in the bin at the gate of a residential building in Xinqiao Town. The placenta and umbilical cord were still attached. Police are trying to trace the child’s mother.
