THE Shanghai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has raised pension and benefits. Pensions for residents retired from rural enterprises and for unemployed residents were raised by 170 yuan (US$27.5) and 105 yuan per month respectively. Pensions for residents retired from urban enterprises will continue to increase at a certain rate linked with seniority, said officials. Retirees can collect their pensions at designated banks or postal offices.
