CONSTRUCTION of two new berths for heavyweight cruise ships at Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal is now under way, officials said yesterday. On completion of the project, which is scheduled for 2017, the terminal will have four berths capable of housing vessels of up to 750,000 deadweight tons. The new berths will help to ease the huge pressure on space at the terminal, which is used by cruise line giants like Royal Caribbean International and Costa, officials said.
