WORKERS in Shanghai were paid larger end-of-year bonuses than in any other Chinese mainland city, according to a report by a Beijing-based management consulting compnay. The city’s workers received 8,523 yuan (US$1,375) apiece, beating workers in Shenzhen and Beijing, who were each paid 8,235 yuan and 7,855 yuan, respectively.
