A MAN has been detained for allegedly blackmailing his gay lover, police said. The man, surnamed Zhang, is accused of threatening to publish compromising photographs of his lover, surnamed Chen, unless he was paid a total of 121,600 yuan (US$19,400). Investigators said that Chen agreed to pay Zhang the money as he didn’t want his family to find out that he was gay.
