Blaze hero regains consciousness

A 25-YEAR-OLD man who suffered serious burns alerting neighbors after fire broke out in his residential building has regained consciousness, Ruijin Hospital said yesterday.
Wang Haibin, is able to talk but is still in a critical condition with 80 percent burns, said official Zhu Fan.
He has undergone several skin grafts but will require many surgeries, added Zhu.
On June 16, a fire broke out at about 1:45am at the block in Huacao Town in Minhang District where Wang lives with his family.
He alerted neighbors but suffered serious burns trying to open a locked gate.
Wang has been honored with a bravery award from Minhang District.
