A man was sentenced to one year in prison by the Shanghai Railway Transport Court for making bomb threats, officials said yesterday. The man, who said he was merely having fun at the expense of police arrest, twice called to say there was a bomb planted in Shanghai Railway Station at midnight on January 9. Police rushed to the scene and evacuated people before concluding that it was a hoax.
