A 14-YEAR-OLD boy being taken to school by his father yesterday morning was pushed off their moped and stabbed to death.

The teenager’s father, a 54-year-old surnamed Liu, was injured in the attack. He was in a stable condition last night.

Police said a domestic dispute lay behind the attack. A 58-year-old surnamed Zhu, the ex-husband of Liu’s sister, was held at the scene.

The father and son rode out of their Changning Road neighborhood at 7:35am.

Witnesses said a man stepped out and pushed the moped over. He then grabbed hold of the boy and fatally stabbed him in the chest.

Liu was stabbed when he confronted the attacker.

The case is still under investigation.
