Boyfriend arrested for stabbing

A jealous lover accused of stabbing a rival has been arrested for intentional injury, said Jing’an District prosecutors.
They said the suspect, identified as Xiang Yu, who owned a bar and several manicure shops, was suspicious about his girlfriend’s affections.
Last September 20, Xiang arranged a birthday party at his bar for his girlfriend Wang Na, who is a model.
But the couple quarreled and Wang told Xiang not to show up. Xiang was later told that Wang had left the bar in the early hours with male friends.
He went to her apartment, and found her ex-boyfriend, identified as Cheng Zixin, sitting on her sofa. Xiang stabbed Cheng on his face, neck and back, using a fruit knife that was on the table, prosecutors said.
Police and ambulance were called, and hospital checks showed Cheng had suffered multiple injuries in his back and neck, as well as having his face scarred.
Wang said she and several friends had gone to her home to chat, but she was alone with Cheng when Xiang arrived, the prosecutors added.
