Bribe appeal ejected

THE Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's Court yesterday rejected an appeal from Cui Shichang, former director of the Putuo District Finance Bureau, and upheld an 11-year jail sentence for accepting an apartment, worth 735,000 yuan (US$110,196), as a bribe. Cui claimed that he had been "clean throughout the 13 years on the post."
