Bullet pierces window where Baoshan mom often stands with baby
A SHANGHAI mother was thankful not to be standing at her bedroom window with her baby this morning as she often does after what appeared to be a bullet punched a fist-sized hole through the glass at her home in Baoshan District.
“Fortunately, we were not there this morning. Otherwise, the consequences would be unthinkable,” said the woman, surnamed Liu.
Police are investigating the incident, which left a 10-centimeter hole in the double glazed glass of the window.
After hearing a loud sound around 10am, Liu’s mother rushed into the bedroom and found glass shards and an object like a bullet at the window, according to eastday.com. No one was hurt.
At the time, Liu and her mother were playing with the 6-month-old baby in the living room. Liu said the bed is only 30cm from the window.
Police arrived within 15 minutes of being called, the report said.
