BUS passengers can pay for their fares via WeChat starting Friday.
Passengers won’t have to precharge their accounts before paying their fares, and other public transport discounts will also apply to WeChat payment. According to Shanghai Public Transport Company, 2,000 buses have been equipped with mobile payment scanners, and all buses will be equipped by the end of October.
