Camps become jails

TWO of Shanghai’s former labor camps have been converted into prisons, the authorities have said. Located in Dafeng City in Jiangsu Province, the two 60-year-old institutions were formerly Shanghai No. 1 and No. 2 labor camps, reeducating people through labor and helping rehabilitate drug users. They are now Sichahe Prison and Wujiawa Prison.
