Cards back on massage menu

THREE outlets of the troubled Congen Massage Healthcare Club chain started accepting prepaid membership cards again last night.

Talks are taking place between Congen and several companies that are willing to inject funds into the business, which has financial troubles.

The three outlets are on Yan’an Rd W., Changle Road and Xingyi Road.

Wu Jixin, an assistant of general manager of Congen, said several companies have expressed an interest in putting cash into the business, and that talks are still ongoing.

Shanghai Kuailu Investment Group has said it wants to invest 250 million yuan (US$40.32 million) in Congen.

About 60 outlets of Congen in Shanghai stopped accepting membership cards during the National Day holiday, leaving nearly 10,000 members in the lurch, Xinhua reported earlier.
