Changning plays key Party role

A workshop at Huayang community in Changning District has been tasked to train “excellent Party secretaries” for residential areas, according to Han Zhiqiang, who is deputy Party secretary of Changning.
The workshop will train new leaders for the grass-roots management as well as Party affairs amid the integration of Party activities in residential areas, communities and companies, Han told journalists yesterday.
Huayang community has developed experience in integrating Party affairs with daily management and has become the first community in Shanghai to apply national standards in administration. The community is the birthplace of the program launched by city leaders in the early 1990s to improve people’s living conditions.
