A CHARITY auction organized by the Shanghai Charity Foundation raised more than 1.6 million yuan (US$228,570) at the weekend for needy seniors suffering from cataracts and children with congenital heart disease in the city, foundation officials said.
Items included a crystal model of the China Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo.
