A CHILD was killed in a fire that broke out at home around midnight on Sipailou Road in Huangpu District in Shanghai. The victim is said to be a 14-year-old girl.
According to a witness, the flames lit up the sky when most of the nearby residents were still at alseep. They were evacuated soon after the fire broke out.
The fire was put out around 12:30am today. Firefighters found the body of a child when they entered the room.
The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
