Cinema ticket price in frame
A MOVIEGOER yesterday accused a cinema of price fraud after she paid more than face value for tickets bought as a New Year family treat.
Xuhui District People's Court heard that Jin Hua and her sister took their parents from Jilin Province to Yonghua Cinema City on February 4.
The family bought tickets for kung fu movie "Shaolin" for 120 yuan (US$19) each.
However, when the movie ended, Jin discovered that the ticket in her hand actually had a face value of 70 yuan.
She was told that a VIP ticket included a drink and a bucket of popcorn. Jin said her party did not receive these.
The court held mediation between the parties but did not announce a verdict.
