City Acts On Infertility Issue
MORE local couples are suffering problems conceiving a child due to the faster pace of life, getting married at an older age, more frequent cases of abortions from earlier sexual encounters and the financial pressures of marriage and child-raising, medical experts said yesterday.
About 10 to 15 percent of local couples have reproductive disorders and the incidence is growing, putting a huge demand on both fertility service quantity and quality, officials said.
