City Inspectors Looking For Counterfeiters
LOCAL authorities will carry out a citywide sweep before the end of the year to crack down on counterfeit goods, officials said yesterday.
Pirated books, audiovisual products, cell phones, medicines, garments, bags and electric appliances are prime targets, said officials.
Illegal movies and music online will also be covered. Zhou Weimin, director of the Shanghai Culture Inspection Team, said they had punished 45 local websites since October for illegally publishing movies, videos and MP3s.
