City tourist robbed in Paris
A SHANGHAI tourist has told how she was robbed outside a hotel in Paris at the weekend.
Yan Fei, 44, told Shanghai Daily that after she got off a coach at the Kyriad Prestige Hotel late on Saturday and was collecting her luggage, a man rushed toward her, grabbed the bag she was carrying and fled.
She said several bankcards, more than 10,000 yuan (US$1,626), a cellphone and ID card were stolen.
Yan was traveling on an 11-day group tour in Europe organized by China International Travel Service.
The hotel and agency said they couldn’t be held responsible and that Yan should have been more careful, she said.
She said the hotel reported the case to police. The tour guide said he didn’t witness the incident, said Yan.
