City women happy

NEARLY 86 percent out of the over 1,000 women living in the city said they were happy, according to a report by Shanghai Women’s Federation. The survey conducted by East China Normal University, which interviewed 1,004 women aged over 18, concluded that the happiness index was 3.54 out of five. More than 73.1 percent said physical and psychological health was the main source of their happiness. Only 12.5 percent preferred high income and wealthy life. About one third of them said they had experienced gender discrimination.
