A MAN was ordered to pay 7,000 yuan (US$1,023) compensation to his former girlfriend for threatening to spread naked photos of her if she didn't continue the relationship, the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's Court ruled yesterday.
The victim, surnamed Sun, met a man surnamed Xia, 53, online in 2004. He held back his age and marriage information and became Sun's boyfriend. Two years later, Sun learned Xia was 24 years older than her and that he had a wife and daughter. Xia sent naked photos of Sun to her and her father after she asked to break up. Xia also threatened to send them to Sun's neighbor.
