A South Korean man yesterday filed a lawsuit at the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court against a local cosmetics company for patent infringement.
Park Sung-jun claimed Enter Design copied his design for a powder puff machine and is seeking 150,000 yuan (US$24,000) in compensation. The plaintiff also demanded the company stop producing and selling the machine. In its defense, Enter Design said the products were manufactured before Park applied for his patent. A ruling was not reached yesterday.
