A couple from Sichuan Province have been detained for attacking a traffic police officer in downtown Huangpu District last Wednesday morning, police said yesterday.
The couple were sitting in the car with their son behind the wheel when a police officer stopped the car that had illegally changed lanes and then run a red light.
The police officer was slightly bruised on an arm.
