Couple files false claims
A COUPLE said they falsely reported a “human trafficking” case on Tuesday to try and prevent their 2-year-old son from being taken out of town by his grandmother, police said yesterday. The couple told the police at Hongqiao Railway Station that their ayi took the child from home in the morning and was about to board an outbound train. Police said it turned out later that the family had some dispute among themselves which led to the grandmother deciding to take the child back to her place. The police treated the matter sympathetically and did not punish the couple for making false claims.
