Court officials in prostitution scandal expelled from Party

Four officials with the Shanghai Higher People's Court were expelled from the Communist Party of China today after being involved in a prostitution scandal, local authorities announced.

The higher people's court has proposed local legislators to sack the judges and judicial officials.

They are exposed to be seeking prostitution services at Hengshan Resort hotel in the Pudong New Area on June 9, an accusation made public by a whistleblower, who uploaded a video on Thursday.

The whistleblower had accused a judge involved in the scandal of manipulating the verdict of a case he lost.
