Dancing man detained

A MAN has been detained for damaging a police car after officers told him to stop dancing to music at midnight on Jinping Road in Minhang District, police said yesterday. Neighbors had complained that the 21-year-old, surnamed Huang, had been causing a disturbance from about 9:40pm on November 6. When police arrived, he refused to turn off his music, was abusive toward officers and kicked their car, xinmin.cn reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at 1,000 yuan (US$160), said police.
