PEOPLE in Shanghai will be able to view a partial solar eclipse tomorrow morning, a local astronomer said yesterday.

The phenomenon will be visible between 8:41am and 10:10am, said Tang Haiming from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory.

“People should be able to see the eclipse, though it will also depend on the weather conditions,” he said.

Tang warned of the dangers of looking at the astronomical phenomenon and advised people to buy “proper eclipse glasses” to protect their eyes.
