SONGJIANG District People's Court yesterday decided on a one-year suspended jail sentence for a man surnamed Huang who hit and killed a motorcyclist while driving drunk.
Huang, a company boss, had a dinner with colleagues on April 18 and insisted on driving home despite being inebriated. He hit the bike and the rider died. Huang paid 300,000 yuan (US$43,917) to the victim's family in compensation.
