Deaf woman goes home a mom
A DEAF woman who ran away from home in north China’s Hebei Province while unknowingly pregnant was reunited with her family yesterday.
The woman moved to Shanghai in January after fighting with her husband. With no job and no money, and unaware she was pregnant, she lived on the street for several months before finding refuge at a homeless shelter.
When staff at the center realized she was expecting a baby she was sent to Tongji Hospital in July, where she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
As a new mother, the woman became more chatty and told staff her story. They then contacted her family and they were all reunited.
