A man has been detained for dragging a police officer for 20 meters while trying to make off on an unlicensed scooter.
The scooter was stopped by police at the Nanjing Road, Huashan Road intersection on June 8 as it was suspected of having a fake license plate. When the rider got off, the passenger tried to ride off, dragging traffic officer Mao Xiangfeng behind. Mao suffered minor injuries. The scooter was found to have false plates.
