A driver was sentenced to five months in detention for disrupting public service, after Baoshan District People's Court heard his case on Monday.
The court heard that the man, surnamed Gu, illegally parked his car at the intersection of Buoying Road and Yangwen Road on April 20.
When a police officer approached to give him a ticket, he knocked him over as he fled.
