Doctors remove knife from man’s head

SURGEONS at Huashan Hospital yesterday removed a 30-centimeter knife from the head of a 19-year-old man from neighboring Zhejiang Province.

The man surnamed Wang was playing a knife-throwing game with friends on Sunday night, when an ill-timed move saw the blade pierce his left temple.

After receiving initial treatment at a local hospital, he was moved to Huashan yesterday.

Firefighters first removed a length of the knife so doctors could carry out a brain scan.

The operation lasted 90 minutes and Wang is said to be in a stable condition.
