Doctors remove ring from baby

DOCTORS at the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University yesterday removed part of an earring from the stomach of a 9-month-old boy, almost three weeks after he swallowed it.
The child ate the item at his home in Jiaxing, east China’s Zhejiang Province, while playing with his sister.
His parents took him to hospital after he began vomiting. Local doctors were unable to help and so he was transferred to Shanghai.
