Dog owner鈥檚 lies
A DOG owner who lost her pet has been fined after falsely claiming to police that her “3-year-old son” went missing with the animal, so that officers would look for it.
The 46-year-old, surnamed Gu, reported to police in Minhang District on Monday that both her son and golden retriever were kidnapped by a stranger in a Buick. However, officers were suspicious as Gu’s story was inconsistent. Police checked with her community committee and were told Gu had only a 25-year-old son. Police said the reason for Gu’s lies was that she wanted them to prioritize finding her pet.
